Who's the Hero?

Oh my son
I know you're having fun
But there's so much you have to learn
knowing things always change
When you meet someone you'll yearn
And you'll  lose our heroes while we grow
So be one to any and everyone
I'm no good at this am I?
When I try to find him
I know he's already faded
When I try to reach him
I know he's already jaded
Oh my son
I know the fight ain't won
But you don't have to run a war
We know things won't be
The way they were before
I know I'm not the best on my own
 I'm just as clueless as you
And if earlier I'd known
We'd both be happy too
I'm not too good at this am I?
